The original croft house had been extended previously on three sides but this had left the house with a layout which was not particularly practical and did not suit the needs of the client.

The proposal was to extend the house to form a new entrance and living space while also altering the existing layout by moving the kitchen and turning the existing living room into a bedroom.  This allowed the existing kitchen to be used as a useful utility space.
