Ladies Mire

Brae

Phase 1 - Completed 2010

6 semi-detached dwelling houses providing an accommodation mix of 3 and 4 person houses.  One property was adapted to suit the needs of HHA tenant.

The house types vary in form and appearance but similar construction details are used unifying the scheme.  External wall cladding colours are used to compliment the surrounding housing.

The houses are effectively double insulated to minimise heat loss.  The main heating is provided by individual exhaust air heat pumps and supplemented by a whole house ventilation system with heat recovery.

The houses are laid out along an existing access road with each house having its own car parking.  Each site boundary and the site perimeter are marked with attractive natural timber fencing

Phase 2 - Ongoing

A mixed development of 8 houses and flats.

The house types are the same as Phase 1 providing an accommodation mix of 3 and 4 person houses.  The block of flats provides four 2 person units.  The form, appearance and external wall cladding unify the scheme with Phase 1.

The houses and flats are effectively double insulated to minimise heat loss.  The main heating is provided by individual exhaust air heat pumps and supplemented by a whole house ventilation system with heat recovery.

The houses are laid out along an existing access road with communal car parking.  Each site boundary and the site perimeter are marked with attractive natural timber fencing.  A communal area, also serving Phase 1, is incorporated into the development.
