The clients’ aspiration to build a Scandinavian-style house with turf roof was realised in this single storey design which features a large open-plan living/ dining/ kitchen area with plenty of glazing to take advantage of the southerly sea views.

The palette of natural cladding materials together with the gentle roof pitch and roof overhangs supported by timber posts help to blend the house into the surrounding landscape.
