About Us

Peter Johnson Partnership was established in 1985, and in 2008 the practice became a limited liability partnership called PJP Architects LLP. Since its inception the practice has undertaken a wide range of public and private sector projects.

The practice operates from its own office premises built in 2001 within the North Ness Business Park in the centre of Lerwick. 

We consider ourselves to be a friendly and approachable office with a flexible and open-minded approach to design and have forged a good working relationship with a regular repeat customer base.

We believe in listening closely to our clients, carefully assessing their requirements and maintaining a dialogue with them throughout the life of a project. We are committed to improving standards of energy efficiency and sustainable design.

Our overall aim is to produce high quality cost-effective buildings which meet our clients’ aspirations.

We are available to undertake projects outside Shetland wherever we can provide services at competitive rates. We have worked on several projects in Orkney and some of these projects are included in the commercial section of our work.
